AN ORDER RECONSTITUTING THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE OF BARANGAY ____________________, ALIAGA,
NUEVA ECIJA AND DEFINING ITS FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

WHEREAS, Section 387 (b) of Republic Act 7160 states that the Sangguniang Barangay may
form community brigades and create such other positions of offices as may be deemed necessary to
carry out the purposes of the barangay government in accordance with the needs of the public
service;

WHEREAS, for the efficient, effective, and economical governance, the purpose of which is
the general welfare of the barangay and its inhabitants (Sec. 389) (60), the Punong Barangay shall
organize and lead an emergency group whenever the same may be necessary for the maintenance
of peace and order or an emergency or calamity within the barangay;

WHEREAS, RA 10121 mandates the organization of Local Disaster Risk Reduction

Management Councils/Committees at all levels of local government unit;

NOW, THEREFORE, I ________________________, Punong Barangay of Barangay

______________, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, by virtue of the powers vested in me by laws, do hereby
order the reconstitution of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee.

Section 2. The Disaster Operation Center shall be at the Barangay Hall.

Section 3. FUNCTIONS. The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction & Management

Committee (BDRRMC) shall have the respective powers, duties, and functions to wit:

a. Establish the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Committee;

b. Coordinate from the Barangay Disaster Operations Center the disaster operation
activities of its task units;

c. Implement within the barangay the guidelines by the higher level LDRRMC;

d. Advises the members of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction & Management
Committee regarding the disaster management;

e. Submit the recommendation to the higher level LDRRMC as necessary.

Section 4. EFFECTIVITY. This order shall effect immediately and shall remain in effect
unless otherwise repealed and/or superseded by succeeding orders.
