HOMEROOM PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE

GRADE 9-MOLAVE
S.Y. 2021-2022

The Department of Education encourages good communication of the school and the community
particularly the parents as external stakeholders for the welfare of the learners.
In line with this, Malapad na Bato National High School conducted the Second Quarter Homeroom Parent-
Teacher Conference to discuss important matters concerning the school activities and students’ performance. Grade
9-Molave adviser, Mrs. Rochelle M. Vilela, presided the meeting on February 28, 2022, 9:00 o’clock in the morning at
Grade 9-Molave classroom.
The said meeting, which was attended by ninety two percent (92 %) of the parents of Grade 9 Molave,
focused on the orientation on limited face-to-face classes, WINS (Wash in School) update, school activities, report on
academic performance of students and release of report card. Mrs. Vilela stressed out that the possibility for the
limited face-to-face are under the following parameters – expansion of schools have been validated as compliant
with the standards of School Safety Assessment Tools (SSAT); schools must be in areas under Alert Level 1 and 2;
students participating in the face-to-face classes must have the written consent of their parents; schools are given
flexibility in contact time for teaching and learning, provided that meals are not taken in school except during
managed recess; and only vaccinated teachers may participate, and vaccinated learners shall be preferred. The
parental consents were filled up by the parents and 29 out of 36 attendees agreed to allow their child to participate
in the limited face-to-face classes.
Mrs. Vilela also encouraged the parents to practice their children the proper hygiene and healthy living as
part of the advocacies of WINs. She also reminded them to be honest with the weekly health survey of the students.
School activities such as Brigada Eskwela and Brigada Pagbasa were also tackled. Participation and support
from the parents were highly encouraged.
Lastly, Mrs. Vilela also reported the academic performance of the students for the first and second quarters.
She encouraged the parents and guardians to just facilitate learning with their children and avoid taking over their
learning tasks. The report cards were signed by the parents.
