Dear: Eng. Mai Mostafa,

Further to your request and further to our recent correspondence, Modern

Engineering Consultant Office “MECO” proposes to provide you with technical
consultancy services for the above-noted project.

A. Scope of work
• Creating the elaborate BOQ for the infrastructure work of the port terminal,

covering both Civil and MEP aspects including the following:

- The scope of work is limited to stage 3 of the project about 270,000 m2.
- Quantity surveying extracted from a coordinated BIM model with LOD
(400-500) which is provided by the main contractor.
- The high mast units are included.
• Providing technical support throughout the entire project duration (6 months)
including the following:

- Remote supervision via engineer has experience of not less than 15

years.
- In case the additional engineers are required they cost will be inclouded
in a separate proposal.

 B. Deliverables include:
• EXCEL format of the elaborate BOQ.

• Quantity surveying tables are extracted from the BIM model.

D. Services Duration:
- The approximate duration of the service’s implementation for items
(1.1,1.2) is 6 weeks from the date of receiving the full documentents
package including the BIM model.
- The technical support service item (2.0) duration is 6 months.

E. General Expectations:
Please note that this proposal excludes the features such as:
- Geotechnical (soil) investigations (soils investigations are not part of our scope of work)
- Materials testing (testing concrete, steel, stone, rock, welds, etc.)

- Surveying works (plan, bathymetric, etc.).s

- BIM model coordination.
- Accommodation, transportation, flight tickets cost, and visa fees.

F. Changes
Changes that are made to the design for whatever reason following our completing our
work are charged extra.
Please note that this proposal will be valid for only 21 calendar days.

- 50% down payment fee to commence work on your project.
- 25% payment upon delivery of deliverables.
- 25% payment upon approval.
2. Technical support
- Monthly fixed payment.
