Training Design
I. Title of Training

UPLIFTING LEARNING: INSET’s Journey Toward Continuous Excellence of

Catanauan NHS Personnel

II. Background and Rationale

As stipulated in DepEd Order No. 22, s. 2023, titled Implementing Guidelines on the
School Calendar and Activities for the School Year 2023-2024, the Department of Education
consider the dates January 24-26 and 29-30, 2024 as In-service Training for teachers.
INSET refers to a modality of professional development intervention organized
either at the school (school-based INSET) or division/district level (cluster-based INSET) to
address and resolve areas of need identified by the teachers or school leaders to
continuously improve their competencies. INSET classes are participatory and should be
offered to small groups to maximize impact on teacher and school leader quality.
In-service training for teachers serves to refine instructional techniques, integrate new
technologies, and align educators with evolving educational policies, ensuring adept and
proficient in fostering student success.
Catanauan NHS In-service training will be held on January 24-25, 2024 at Catanauan
NHS, Catanauan, Quezon.

III. Training Objectives

This training ensures the attainment of the following objectives:
Improve and update teachers’s skills, ensuring proficiency in the latest teaching
methodologies and technologies.
Establishing clear expectations for ethical behavior, maintaining high professional
standards in teaching.
Ensuring fair treatment of all students, regardless of background and promoting
equal educational opportunities.
Develop and enhance teaching practices to cultivate various skills including reading,
numeracy and higher-order thinking skills in students

IV. Training Methodologies

This training will uphold the following methodologies:
 Learning by doing – working with trainer/facilitator
 Participating – Discussion, Demonstration
 Receiving – Lecture, Audiovisual

VI. Participants
Participants are expected to be in the venue tirty (30) minutes before the schedule
activity and are requested to wear DepEd/ school designated uniform.
There are 31 teaching and non-teaching Staff who will participate as shown in the

VII. Financial Allotment

Expenses relative to this INSET shall be charged to Canteen Fund, as subjected to

usual accounting and auditing procedures.

VIII. Monitoring and Evaluation

Attendance and other related documentaries needed to this activity will be

responded by the non-teaching staff. Evaluation will be done after the last session of
each day as indicated in the training matrix which summarizes prior
activities/discussions.
