INVITATION OF PARTICIPANTS FOR THE AGRIKONOMIYA 2023

The University of the Philippines Agricultural and Applied Economics Circle
(UPAAEC) is inviting participants for the different competition in the celebration of
Agrikonomiya 2023 with the theme, “Changing the Landscape: Economic Development
through Emerging Agricultural Paradigm”.
Learners from universities and state colleges are highly encouraged to participate.
Attached is a copy of the invitation and the mechanics of the different contests.

Greetings!

The UP Agricultural and Applied Economics Circle (UPAAEC) is recognized

academic organization based at the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics,
College of Economics and Management, University of the Philippines Los Bañ os and a
member-organization of the Junior Philippine Economics Society (JPES). The
organization advocates and supports agricultural and socio-economic initiatives by
promoting Agricultural and Applied Economics as a field of study and career.

This year, in accordance with our purpose-driven objectives as an academic

organization, we will conduct a scholastic competition for College Students.
AgriKonomiya 2023 is a month-long event comprising five (5) competitions and one (1)
seminar. With the theme “ Changing the Landscape: Economic Development through
Emerging Agricultural Paradigm,” selected students from different schools all over the
Philippines will compete with each other in an essay writing competition, a poster-
making contest, a promotional video competition, a debate competition, and lastly, an
agricultural resolution pitch competition.

In this regard, we humbly ask for school’s participation in our event. The event is
exclusive only to participating schools. Group competitions for Agrikonomiya 2023 will
be free. However, ₱3,000.00 will be collected for individual categories. The registration
fee is non-refundable. Attached herewith are the details and program of the competition
for your perusal.
