The Effects of Volcanic Eruptions on the Earth’s Surface
1. Agricultural Benefits.
The burning lava can turn into one of the richest or most fertile soil in the
world. Cultivation of this weathered volcanic materials produce abundant
food.
2. Industrial Benefits.
Volcanoes contain very rich amounts of minerals such as gold, silver
and copper. Precious gems, minerals and building materials are making
available by volcanic eruptions. Stones like pumice volcanic ash and
perlite (volcanic glass) are all mined for various commercial uses.
3. Greenhouse effect
Erupting volcanoes emit mixture of gases like ash and sulphur dioxide that
reflect sunlight away from earth that cause warming on the earth’s
atmosphere.
