Chorus:
Oh, up, down, strange, charm, top, bottom
If you don’t know what a quark is, it doesn’t matter you still get ‘em
And with Leptons and Bosons unless somethings a miss
They make up everything that we can see and that we know exists.
II.
Things made up of quarks including protons and neutrons
Are composite particles that physicist call Hadrons
Many type of Hadrons are theoretically described
But most exist for only very brief amount of time
Quarks have electric charge, color charge, mass and spin
And having color charge means they exist solely
Inside of other kinds of particles and cannot exist alone
Which is why Quarks have never been studied their own.
(Repeat Chorus)
III.
Quarks can join together in two different ways
Baryons and mesons, but most instantly decay
If a particle has three quarks, then it’s a Baryon
And if there’s one quark and an antiquark, it is then a meson
These tiny bits of matter are part of almost everything
And there is no unified theory to make it less confusing
But the fact that we’re identified that they exist at all
Is so good damn remarkable that I just sit in awe.
(Repeat Chorus)

A neutrino is a fermion that interacts only via the weak subatomic force and gravity. The
neutrino is so named because it is electrically neutral and because its rest mass is so small that
it was long thought to be zero. The mass of the neutrino is much smaller than that of the other
known elementary particles.
The positron or antielectron is the antiparticle or the antimatter counterpart of the electron.
The positron has an electric charge of +1 e, a spin of 1/2, and has the same mass as an
electron. When a positron collides with an electron, annihilation occurs.
In particle physics, a pion is any of three subatomic particles: π⁰ , π⁺ , and π− . Each pion
consists of a quark and an antiquark and is therefore a meson. Pions are the lightest mesons
and, more generally, the lightest hadrons.
The up quark or u quark is the lightest of all quarks, a type of elementary particle, and a major
constituent of matter. It, along with the down quark, forms the neutrons and protons of atomic
nuclei. It is part of the first generation of matter, has an electric charge of + e and a bare mass of
2.2+0.5 −0.4 MeV/c².
The down quark or d quark is the second-lightest of all quarks, a type of elementary particle, and
a major constituent of matter. Together with the up quark, it forms the neutrons and protons of
atomic nuclei.
The strange quark or s quark is the third lightest of all quarks, a type of elementary particle.
Strange quarks are found in subatomic particles called hadrons. Example of hadrons containing
strange quarks include kaons, strange D mesons, Sigma baryons, and other strange particles.
The charm quark, charmed quark or c quark is the third most massive of all quarks, a type of
elementary particle. Charm quarks are found in hadrons, which are subatomic particles made of
quarks.
The J/psi meson or psion is a subatomic particle, a flavor-neutral meson consisting of a charm
quark and a charm antiquark. Mesons formed by a bound state of a charm quark and a charm
anti-quark are generally known as "charmonium". The J/ψ is the most common form of
charmonium, due to its low rest mass.
In particle physics, a rho meson is a short-lived hadronic particle that is an isospin triplet whose
three states are denoted as ρ⁺ , ρ⁰ and ρ− . Along with pions and omega mesons, the rho meson
carries the nuclear force within the atomic nucleus.
