SEMI – DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ARTS 1


I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to;
a. Draw and color different vegetables,fruits and healthy foods.
b. Identify the color of the objects they draw.
c. Appreciate the beauty of color in a drawing and objects.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A.TOPIC: Appreciation of Colors
B.REFERENCE: Grade 1 Teachers Guide
C.MATERIAL: printed pictures, bondpaper, pencil,scotch tape, pentel pen,crayons
D.STRATEGY: Performance-Based Learning
E.VALUE FOCUS: Creativity in drawing and appreciating artwork.

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary activities

Determine the following printed pictures:

2. Unlocking of difficulties
-The color of an apple is red.
-The color of papaya is yellow and green.
-The color of squash is orange.
-The color of banana is yellow.
-The color of eggplant is violet.
-The color of fried egg is yellow and white.

3. REVIEW
•What was our lesson yesterday?
•What colors are there in a rainbow?

B. DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

1. Motivation
The teacher will show pictures without colors and let the students determine what objects
are being shown.

3. Discussion

•COLOR - is a way we describe an object based on the way it reflects or emit light.
•What are the objects you can find at home? In your room?What are their colors?

2. What are the different colors?

5. Application
The teacher will present a color wheel on the chart and the students will recognize
what colors the teacher will point out.

IV. EVALUATION
Direction: For the advance celebration of the month of Nutrition,draw your favorite
vegetables,fruits,foods or drinks.Color it according to it's nature.
