2. WORK DESCRIPTION PERFORMED:

- Performed the 48K Running hours, operation scheduled preventive Maintenance
PM at Gen.#28 as below:
- Generator side:
- Cleaned excitation machine windings.
- Checked the excitation diodes and all found normal 0.3813 VDC.
- Measured Generator air gap between rotor & stator for Main & Excitation
Machine.
- Performed resistance test for PT100 sensors and space heaters.
- Performed resistance test for stator excitation winding found 9.55 Ohm.
- Performed insulation resistance test for stator and rotor excitation windings
48K ERH PM found 7.00 GΩ and 57.8 GΩ.

Gen#28 - Connected all cables on the recommended torque then marked.

2nd day - General cleaning for generator inside.
- Checked rotor earth fault brushes and found above the minimum length of 3mm,
then cleaned.
- Cleaned the generators front and side covers
- Closed non-drive and side covers of generator.
- MV-SWG side:
- Cleaned the VCB and the VT of DG#28
- Performed insulation test for VCB, all was acceptable. (14-KV)
- Opened the cover and Checked the VCB component and the DC motor of the
VCB found all normal.
- Rack-in the VCB and the Generator in ready to work.
SCR [Req. No.: 19265] Checked the SCR compressor 904 for tripping circuit breaker,
compressor the motors’ winding insulation and resistance were normal, will test the motors’ In progress
904 operation tomorrow after removing the coupling with mechanical team.
- Checked S/A comp. motor 905/1 for abnormal sound, the motor was dismantled
S/A Comp.
to replace its bearing, a spare motor was installed instead until the bearings are In progress

replaced.
- Tested the new VFD and checked the parameters suggested by Schneider
engineer, same problem occurred, will contact Schneider engineer on site
