Chapter 1

THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING

Introduction

In the dynamic landscape of education, the integration of

cutting-edge technologies has revolutionized traditional teaching and

learning methodologies. One such innovation that has garnered

significant attention is the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) bot

engines in educational settings. AI bot engines, powered by

sophisticated algorithms and natural language processing

capabilities, have emerged as potential tools to enhance the

educational experience for students. This research seeks to

investigate the effectiveness of employing AI bot engines to facilitate

learning within the context of the Information and Communications

Technology (ICT) strand at St. Ignatius Academy SY 2023-2024.

The ICT strand plays a pivotal role in equipping students with

the necessary skills to navigate and excel in the digital age. As

technology continues to advance at an unprecedented pace,

educators are faced with the challenge of preparing students to not

only comprehend complex technical concepts but also apply them

effectively. Traditional classroom methods, while valuable, may

sometimes fall short in providing personalized and adaptive learning

experiences tailored to individual student needs.

AI bot engines offer a promising solution to address these

challenges. By simulating human-like interaction and

understanding, these bots can engage students in real-time

conversations, address queries, provide explanations, offer

supplemental learning resources, and even deliver formative

assessments. The inherent adaptability of AI enables these bots to

analyze individual student progress and customize learning

pathways, fostering a more student-centric educational approach.

In addition to evaluating the quantitative effects, this study will

delve into qualitative aspects such as student perceptions and

experiences when interacting with AI bot engines. Understanding

how students perceive the use of AI in their learning journey can

provide valuable insights into the potential challenges, benefits, and

ethical considerations associated with AI-driven education.

In conclusion, the integration of AI bot engines holds the

promise of reshaping the way students learn in the ICT strand. As

technology becomes increasingly intertwined with education, it is

crucial to empirically investigate the effectiveness of these tools to

make informed decisions about their integration into curricula. This

research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on AI in

Statement of the Problem

The study will be conducted to determine the relationship of

demographic profile, Effectiveness of using AI Bot Engines on

students learning ICT strand at St. Ignatius S.Y> 2023-2024.

Specifically, the study seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of the ICT students of St. Ignatius

Academy S.Y. 2023-2024?

1.2 Gender;

2. What are the effects of using AI Bot Engines on student’s

learning ICT Strand at St. Ignatius Academy S.Y. 2023-2024?

3. Does using AI Bot Engines are beneficial to the studies and

daily academic tasks of ICT students?

Objective

The objective of this research is to critically assess the impact

of integrating AI bot engines into the learning process of the ICT

strand at St. Ignatius Academy S.Y. 2023-2024. The assessment will

encompass various dimensions, including academic performance,

engagement levels, self-directed learning capabilities, and overall

satisfaction of both students and educators. By exploring these

facets, we aim to determine whether AI bot engines can contribute

significantly to improved learning outcomes and better alignment

with the dynamic nature of the ICT field.

Conceptual Framework

The framework of the study illustrates the relationship between

the demographic profile,. The work values are considered as

independent variables while the job involvement is considering as

dependent variables. Figure 1 shows the relationship between

independent variables.

Research Paradigm

The researchers used the input-process -output (IPO) system,

which was presented to show how the study is going to be dealth

with.In the IPO model,a process is viewed as a series of boxes

(processing elements) connected by inputs and outputs. Information

or material objects flow is through a series of task or actvities based

on a rules or decision points.Harriss&Taylor (1997).The IPO model

provides the general structure and guide for the direction of the

study. The input about the demographic profile of the respondents ,

the respondents assess the Effectiveness of using Advance A.IB Bot

SCOPE AND DELIMINATION OF THE STUDY

Students of St. Ignatius are selected to participate and be the

respondents of this study for this wonderful study for this school

year S.Y. 2023-2024 and for the rest of the St. Ignatius future

generation. This selection of participants is selected in the reason of

the effectiveness of using A.I. bot engines on students learning ICT

stand to determine and to know the benefits of it. students who are

SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY

The beneficial of this study are students, teachers and school

administration, it will help them and their minds will be fulfilled of

knowledge about this study, it will help them and the management of

St, Ignatius Academy.
