RESOLUTION NO. 2024-18

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF ANNUAL LEAVE BENEFITS OF THE

BARANGAY OFFICIALS INCLUDING THE BARANGAY TREASURER AND SECRETARY
CHARGEABLE AGAINST THE PERSONAL SERVICES, ANNUAL BUDGET CY 2024 OF
BARANGAY BAGACAY, TIGBAUAN, ILOILO.

WHEREAS, pursuant to sector 81 of Republic Act (RA) 7160 the local Government Code
(LGC) of 1991, all elective local official Including the Barangay Officials shall be entitled to leave
privilege as those enjoyed by the appointed officials and employees including the
comulation and commutation thereof;

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 393 of RA 7160, barangay officials are not compensated in the
form of salary but receiving fixed honorarium in accordance with law and local budget circular (LBC)
No. 63 October 22, 1996 as fixed salary;

WHEREAS, Barangay officials shall be entitled to leave credits/benefits equivalent to thirty (30)
days for every year of service in the barangay as provided under Section. Rule XVI of the omnibus
Rules Implementing Book V of EO 292

WHEREAS, the leave credits shall be cumulated up to one year only and shall be commuted
yearly;

WHEREAS, the comulation of leave credits of the Punong Barangay and the Barangay Kagawad
shall be based on their actual attendance in Regular sessions of the Sanguniang Barangay;
 WHEREAS, funding for leave benefits shall be charged against the appropriations for personal
services of the barangay subject to the fifty five (55%) Limitation on the personal services apparitions
provided under Section 331 (b) of RA 7160 the money value of the annual leave Section for a particular
year shall be paid in full within the first quarter of the immediately succeeding fiscal year;

NOW THEREFORE, Resolved as it hereby resolved the approval of payment of Annual leave
benefits of the Barangay Officials including Barangay Treasurer and Secretary chargeable against the
Personal Services, Annual Budget, CY 2024 of Barangay Bagacay, Tigbauan, Iloilo.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Municipal

accountant, Budget officer, DILG, Liga Office for their Information and guidance
