RESOLUTION AFFIRMING THE RESULT OF THE SELECTION PROCESS PURSUANT TO
PROVINCIAL ORDINANCE NO. 45-2020

WHEREAS, by virtue of Provincial Ordinance No. 16-2019, as amended by Provincial
Ordinance No. 45-2020, entitled “AND ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF
PROVINCIAL ORDINANCE NO. 16-2019, ENTITLED: AND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
THE REPRESENTATION OF MEMEBERS OF THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY IN THE
SANGGUNIANG BAYAN/PANLUNGSOD/PANLALAWIGAN OF SORSOGON TO DIRECTLY
AND FULLY PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL GOVERNANCE AND POLICY-MAKING, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES”, Vice Governor Manuel “Wowo” L. Fortes, Jr. as the author of the
ordinance, intends to institutionalize a framework that democratizes the popular will whereby
representatives of barangay kagawad can articulate causes and interests most relevant to their
sector in the mainstream of policy making;
WHEREAS, Provincial Ordinance No. 45-2020 streamlines the entry and participation of
barangay kagawad in the municipal, city and provincial levels following the selection process
prescribed under the ordinance;
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Barangay of Sagrada convened and proceeded with the
selection process and elected among themselves the following to constitute as their Barangay
Chapter Officers:
 President: Hon. Ronel G. Francisco
Vice-President: Hon. Orlando S. Tolete
WHEREAS, elected Barangay Chapter President, or in his absence, the vice president,
shall represent Barangay Sagrada in the selection of Municipal Chapter Representative who
shall forward the Barangay’s socio-economic and developmental programs and advocacies that
will capacitate local legislators in the municipality/city/provincial level;
NOW, THEREFORE, by unanimous accord, be it RESOLVED as it is hereby DONE, to
AFFIRM THE RESULT OF THE SELECTION PROCESS PURSUANT TO PROVINCIAL
ORDINANCE NO.45-2020.
LET COPIES of this resolution be furnished Hon. Vice Governor Manuel “Wowo” L.
Fortes, Jr., Hon. Mayor Romeo A. Gordola, Hon. Vice Mayor Chito Delmonte, and all concerned
for their information and guidance.
