2. Review
Recall the previous lesson.
Before we proceed to our new lesson for today, let’s review first the previous lesson we had taken. I
have here 3-Dimensional shapes and you will identify its name (cube, sphere, cylinder, cone).

CONE
CUBE
CYLINDER SPHERE

3. Motivation

Are you familiar with the game SPOT the DIFFERENCE?

This morning, we are going to play that game. I have here two pictures. Picture A and Picture B.
What you are going to do is to tell me the difference between these two pictures.
Picture A Picture B

4. Presentation
I have here a box. This box contains 3 pencils, 3 ballpens, and 3 markers. I am going to bring them out one
by one and arrange them on the table.

(pencil, ballpen, marker --- pencil, ballpen, marker)

(The teacher will also use Lego blocks to represent different colors)

(red, blue, yellow--- red, blue, yellow)

In our lesson in Arts, we tackled primary and secondary colors. The primary colors are red, blue, and
yellow. The secondary colors are green, purple, and orange.

(Art Integration)

What do you think will be the next object that I will bring out?
What do you observe about the arrangement of the objects?
What is being repeated on these objects?
This set of objects is an example of Repeating Patterns.
B. Teaching Modelling

Today our lesson is about Continuous Repeating Patterns.

What is a Repeating Pattern?

It is a type of pattern in which elements/objects repeat in a simple manner.

Examples:

C. Guided Practice Differentiated Activities

Group the pupils into 3 groups: Each group will be given an activity.
In having a group activity, what are the things that you are going to do and
remember?

123 – You must remember that you need to (1) LISTEN, (2) FOLLOW and (3) COOPERATE.

Group 1

F. Generalization

What is a Repeating Pattern, again?

Do you really understand our topic for today?
Is there any question regarding our topic for today?

G. Evaluation
Direksiyon: Kolori ang mga musunod na porma aron makompleto ang repeating pattern

H. Assignment
Direksiyon: Kompletoha ang mga repeating pattern pinaagi sa paglingin niini.

V. Remarks:
VI. Reflection:
______ Pupils did not find difficulties in answering their lesson.
______ Pupils found difficulties in answering their lesson.
______ Pupils were interested in the lesson, despite some difficulties encountered in answering the
questions asked by the teacher.
