Teacher-Learner Activities
I. Objective
A. Content Standard The learner…
demonstrates understanding of continuous and repeating patterns
and mathematical sentences.
B. Performance Standard The learner…
is able to apply knowledge of continuous and repeating patterns and
number sentences in various situations.
C. Learning M1AL-IIIg-1
Competencies/Objective Determines the missing term/s in a given continuous pattern
s using one attribute (letters/ numbers/events).
e.g.
Write the LC code for A,B,C,D,__
each. 2,3,__5,6,7
__,Wed, Thur, Fri
Aa, Bb, Cb, __,___

lesson or presenting the
new lesson.
B. Establishing a Ask:
purpose for the lesson
*Have you been to a birthday
party?
Ask:
1. What objects do you see?
(socks and umbrella).
2. What colors do you see? (I
see red, blue yellow and pink).
3. Do you see repeating patterns
in these objects? (Yes, lines
and colors repeat.)
Say:
Let us do this together. Do each of the following actions, until the
pupils are able to follow them.
-Clap twice and stomp your feet.
Ask:
*What is the pattern? (The
pattern is clap, clap, and
stomp.)

H. Making Remember:
generalizations and Patterns are everywhere. You can see them on gift wrappers,
abstractions about the carpets, floor tiles, blankets, ribbons, flowers, and clothing among
lesson others. Patterns may show changes in shape, size, orientation,
number, or color. A pattern is something that repeats in a regular
manner. It may be a repeating shape, color, orientation or number.
