PROJECT PROPOSAL

V. RATIONALE:

Canapawan Elementary School doesn’t hear the lively music played by the
other school who are members of Drum & Lyre Corps for several years. It would be
a great opportunity and pride if people see young and talented musicians with the
pretty charming majorettes from our school.
Acquiring the musical instruments needed requires huge amount of fund. It
would be a burden for parents if we ask them to purchase a particular instrument
for the child to use.

VI. OBJECTIVES:

This project aims to:

1. Develop the skills and talents of pupils in playing different musical
instruments.
2. Enhance pupils’ self-confidence, proper posture and reach full potential in
music.
3. Show wholesome interpersonal relationship among each other and grow
socially as individuals or as a group.
4. Expose students’ talents to the different activities for their development as
future musicians.

VII. ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION AND MECHANICS:

The activities to be conducted during the strategic planning are the following.

 Planning:
Consult the school head and look for skilled trainers.

 Organizing:
Create school committees and Drum & Lyre Club.
 Conduct Drum & Lyre workshop and screening of DLC players
and members.
 Scheduling of Activities:
Finalization of the list of DLC players and members.

VIII. BUDGET

 Trainer’s Fee: 50 members x ₱500.00 = ₱25,000

 2 Bass Drum, 1 Quantum Drum, 2 Snare Drum, 1 Cymbals,
4 Xylophones = ₱60,000

 Support fund from LGUs
 Fund from other stakeholders

X. EXPECTED OUTPUT:

Drum & Lyre Corps properly implemented through this project which
involves DLC play during launching of BRIGADA ESKWELA 2024, 1 st day opening
of classes, parade during school activities as well as Barangay Fiestas and join
DLC competitions.

XI. MONITORING AND EVALUATION:

Prepare and submit Drum & Lyre Corps Project monthly/quarterly

accomplishment report.
