As I have observed, the learning principle that was applied least from the Four principles is the,
independent Learning is the discovery of personal meaning and relevance of ideas. In the lecture
session, the teacher used his 20 minutes explaining the content of the topic and sharing thoughts
regarding the topic.
From among the principles of learning, which one do you think is the most important?
- The most important principle of learning is the “Learning is the discovery of personal meaning
and relevance of ideas” because that’s how the learners learn with their own way, and the
learning will be more meaningful and effective because they learned it on their own way.
Activity 9.2 Identifying Learning Outcomes that are Aligned with Learning Competencies
OBSERVE
Observe a class, this time focusing on how the learning outcomes were stated. Determine if the
learning outcome/s was/were achieved or not. Give evidence.
1. During the discussion, especially in the Practice stage, students converted sentences about food in
active voice into passive, with gradually decreasing support. Also, in the Production stage, students
talked about food using the passive voice.
2.In the Presentation stage, students start with their relevant prior knowledge verbs and past
participles, before the teacher introduces the form of the passive voice.
3. In the Presentation Stage, students watched watch video clips from some TV shows and filled in the
blanks with the passive construction. Students also recognized the voice of the sentences, and mad
scaffold explorations about passive voice usage.
4. After discussion, the teacher assigned the students to write sentences in the passive voice in simple
present and simple past tenses about the food they ate.

Lessons learned in determining SMART learning outcomes.
I gained knowledge from this course on selecting SMART learning objectives. That, it should be stated in
your instructional objectives or anticipated learning outcomes
SMART is for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results-Oriented, and Time-bound). Bounded) because
this will significantly aid the instructor and direct The role of the teacher in the pupils’ growth and the
learning process. As SMART objectives, as I’ve mentioned, will assist teachers in directing their lessons.
The lesson’s flow and assist the instructor in achieving the intended objectives on A focused subject
helps to clarify the conversation and Organized.
OBSERVE
I will observe one Resource Teacher with the use of this observation sheet. Using the guide
questions, I shall reflect on my observations and analysis.
Teacher-centered Student-centered
Did teacher lecture all the time? Were students involved in the teaching-learning
process? How? Or were they mere passive
recipients of instruction?
Was the emphasis on the mastery of the lesson or Was the emphasis on the students’ application
on the test? Prove. of the lesson in real life? Give proofs.
Was class atmosphere competitive? Why? Was class atmosphere collaborative? Why?
Did teacher focus only on one discipline/subject? Did teacher connect lesson to other
disciplines/subjects?
b) inquiry-based
c) developmentally appropriate – learning activities fit the developmental stage of children
d) reflective
g) integrative – Lesson was multidisciplinary - e.g. In Science, Math concepts were taught.
ANALYZE
1. What are possible consequences of teaching purely subject matter for mastery and for the test?
The loss of your teaching license is most likely one of the potential outcomes. If
administration was made aware that teachers were helping their students prepare for
tests, it would always result in punishment.
2. If you were to reteach the classes you observed, would you be teacher-centered or student-centered?
Why?
I would prefer using a both approach why? Because having a primary class like grade 1-
3 can’t work on their own so using a student centered approach can be misleading to
them, they are not going to catch up with the lesson fast. So using both teacher
centered while discussing and letting the student work on their own in every activities
will be a good approach to be use.
REFLECT
As future educator, the principles of teaching are very important for us all Educators for us to improve
ourselves and the process of learning of our Students. This promotes excellence in learning and
teaching practices Express in different institution that are committed as learning. In all of These
principles tackled, it enhances student to engage and learn through Effecting teaching.
Post proofs of learning that you were able to gain in this Episode. You may attach the lesson
plan (s) used by your Resource Teacher to show the intended learning outcomes and the method used
in class.
