Community Awareness and Education:


As a professional technician, conduct informative sessions, workshops, and
outreach programs to educate people in rural areas about maintaining healthy
vision, recognizing eye conditions, and seeking timely care.

Population Screening Programs:


Your role will extend to participating in population screening programs. These
programs aim to identify individuals with vision problems or eye conditions early
on.

Referring Patients for Specialized Care:


Your expertise will be critical in identifying individuals who require specialized eye
care beyond basic refraction. You'll play a pivotal role in referring patients to
appropriate secondary eye care providers.

Dispensing Spectacles:
Dispensing corrective eyewear, such as prescription glasses, is another key
responsibility. You'll assist patients in selecting suitable frames and lenses based
on their prescriptions.

Autonomous Work at Vision Centers:


Your training will empower you to work independently at Vision Centers, which
may be established by Care Netram. You'll provide a range of eye care services,
including basic refraction, spectacle dispensing, and patient education.
