object is. E.g.: 8g (Nothing) 19y (It’s a boat) – Review Alphabet if necessary.

W.O.B How much is an ice cream?

Elicit Currency EUROS / POUNDS / DOLLARS / CENTS / PENCE

ASK How much is a pen? How much is a notebook?

Do you get pocket money? What do you spend most of your money on?

Tell students they have 2pounds each and need to decide what they want to spend it on. Elicit

Elicit a dialogue between a customer and a client in a shop, or get them to create one on paper then
act it out.

Run through vocabulary of different types of shops: Bookstore, Butcher, Newsagent’s etc…
