DETAILS OF THE ACTIVITY
(Brief Description / Objectives)
Pursuant to DepEd Order #24 s. 2008 known as National Schools Maintenance Week or the
Institutionalizing of Brigada Eskwela Program, all schools must prepare for the opening of the classes. The
Brigada Eskwela Program is one of the most significant programs of the Department of Education, which there
is presence of bayanihan spirit. Private institutions/individuals, government agencies, local government units,
and other organizations are enjoined to contribute and participate in the DepEd’s campaign to ensure
accessible and quality basic education. Brigada Eskwela program highlights collaboration strategies that
complement the Department of Education's efforts to guarantee that quality basic education continues. Brigada
Eskwela 2023 Program is a sixty-day event where local communities, parents, alumni civic groups, local
businesses, non-government organizations (NGOs), private individuals and even teachers and students
volunteer their time and skills for the conduct of clean-ups, minor to medium repairs, and maintenance work in
classrooms and within the school site.

At the end of this activity, the school will be prepared for the opening of the classes for SY 2023- 2024.

This activity aims to:

1. Promote the spirit of volunteerism.
2. Bring together all education stakeholders to help prepare public school facilities for the start of the
school year on August 29, 2023 by volunteering their time, effort, and resources and attain the goal set
by this year BE theme, “Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan”.
3. Direct and monitor the implementation of different activities as specified in the schoolwork plan.
4. Generate resources through donations and volunteer services.
