Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in English 4

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
a. Identify the adjectives in each sentence;
b. Construct sentences using adjectives; and
c. Show participation in a group activity in a way of expressing your own ideas
about adjective.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Adjectives
Source: Grade 4 Book
Materials: Printed Material, PowerPoint, Laptop, and Projector
III. Procedure
A. Preliminary
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Review of the previous lesson
B. Motivation
Paste the printed jumbled letters on the board and let the students to arrange it so
that they will have an idea for today’s lesson.
C. Activities
Divide the class into 3 groups.
Each group should construct a sentence out of the jumbled words that they
already arranged.
They will read the sentences that they constructed in front of the class.
D. Abstraction
Proceed to the next lesson which is Adjectives.
Ask the students what are their ideas Adjectives.
Introduce the meaning of Adjectives.
Give examples of Adjectives.
Discuss thoroughly the topic.
E. Application
Students will give one adjective about their self and it should start with the first
letter of their name. After that they will let their seatmate give an adjective that
describes each other.
IV. Assessment
The students will complete the sentences by filling in the missing adjectives.
V. Assignment
Arrange the adjectives to where it belongs.
