Module 2 – DC Power Supply and Voltage Regulator

A. Important Notice
 This laboratory work is going to use high voltage, so please be careful because it can cause
death and it can badly damage the equipment.
 Be careful while dealing with capacitor since capacitor can blow up in the following
condition:
o having the voltage applied is higher than it’s rating,
o having short circuit while it is full, or
o having fault or wrong polarity (polar capacitor).

B. Learning Objectives
 Students understand the importance of regulated DC power supply.
 Students understand the characteristic of DC motor.

C. Theory and Student Worksheet
