Title of the Program or Course: ONE- DAY CASCADING ON SCHOOLS

INSIDE A GARDEN (SIGA) 2023-2024

Rationale:

The "School Inside A Garden" (SIGA) program of the Department of Education

(DepEd) was initially launched in 1995 through DECS MEMORANDUM No. 77, s. 1995
in support of the national goal for a "clean and green" society.

The SIGA program is designed to create an eco- friendly learning environment. This
activity proposal outlines a cascading plan to expand, implement, orient and re- orient
the SIGA concept to schools which foster and promote a culture of environmental
awareness so as to intensify the thrust of the department for a conducive and
environmental- friendly school where students could learn how to properly care for the
environment by planting trees in a school where there is available space.

Program Course Description:

This activity shall capacitate 3 SSLG coordinators; 16 SELG coordinators, 19

SIGA coordinators, 19 school heads & PSDS- a total of 58 participants to develop
environmental advocacy and implementing strategies in school beautification.

3 SSLG coordinators; 16 SELG coordinators, 19 SIGA coordinators, 19 school

heads & PSDS.
