MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION AND


SELECTION OF REPRESENTATIVE TO THE LOCAL SPECIAL BODIES AT SK
COVERED COURT ON NOVEMBER 29, 2017.
Attendance: Attached Herewith
I. MEETING PROPER:
1. The meeting started at 9:30 AM. With a prayer by Larry F. Munion, MPDO Staff and
was followed by singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Miagao Hymn.
2. Mrs. Shiela N. Bais recognized the participants.
3. Mayor Macario N. Napulan, MD., Municipal Mayor gave his Opening Message followed
by VM. Engr. Leonardo N. Naldoza gave his inspirational message to the participants.
They explained the importance of CSOs in Development Planning. They encouraged
everyone to put up their own business in the municipality. The Mayor also presented
the accomplishment of his administration and lay down his program and projects to be
implemented.
4. Mrs. Fe Rem Ninofranco shared some insights and suggested to all organization to
seek registration to DOLE, SEC or CDA register and apply for the accreditation and
seek representation in local special bodies and strengthen their participation in local
governance and development process.
5. Mr. Nicolas Moragas, MPDC presented the Socio Economic situation of Miagao as
well as the business and Investment Opportunity in the Municipality.
6. An Inspirational Talk from an Economist – Mrs. Donna Rose Ratilla, owner of GDR
Ventures/ President- PCCI, Iloilo discussed the needs and challenges of one
organization and enhance the capacities towards transforming the organization into
sustainable and viable us partners of LGU in Community Development.
7. LUNCH BREAK
8. Signing Commitment of all CSO’s Day Declaration.
9. Mr. Renato Landazabal, MLGOO commended the CSOs and their active participation
and cooperation and gave briefing on Special Bodies as per DILG MC # 2016-97 dated
July 19, 2016. Accreditation of CSO’s and Selection of Representative.
