II. SESSION OUTLINE
Session Title: Gratitude for Peace: Fostering Public Order and Safety
Session Objectives At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
1. Analyze the role of gratitude in fostering a sense of public order and safety.
2. Engage in activities that promote community safety and well-being.
3. Develop a sense of responsibility towards maintaining public order and safety.

Key Concepts: Gratitude and Community Safety:


 Understanding how gratitude contributes to a positive and safe environment
 Exploring the concept of collective responsibility for public order.
Public Order and Safety:
 Recognizing the importance of public order and safety for individuals and the
community.
 Examining ways individuals can actively contribute to public safety.
III. TEACHING STRATEGIES
Components Duration Activities and Procedures
Introduction and Icebreaker: “Safety Scenarios”
Warm Up 10 ins  Present various scenarios related to public safety.
 Have students discuss in pairs or small groups how expressing
gratitude can contribute to resolving or preventing these scenarios.
Concept Exploration Mini-Lecture:
15 mins  Discuss the connection between gratitude, community safety, and
public order.
 Provide examples of how expressions of gratitude can positively
impact community well-being.

Group Activity:
 “Gratitude for Public Safety” – Ask students to brainstorm and
create a list of actions or behaviors that promote public safety.
 Discuss the importance of each item on the list.
Valuing Group Discussion:
20 mins  Reflect on the relationship between gratitude and public safety.
 Discuss how each student can contribute to maintaining public
order and safety through simple acts of gratitude.

Creative Expression:
 “Safety Pledge”- Have students create a visual or written pledge
expressing their commitment to contributing to public order and
safety.

Journal Writing Journal Prompt:


15 mins  “Consider how your awareness of gratitude has expanded to
include public order and safety.
 What specific actions can you take to promote a safer and more
orderly community?”
 Allow students time to write and share their reflections if they feel
comfortable.
