I. Course Description
Principles underlying the police organization and management of the police with particular focus constitutional mandate, Republic act 6975 and Republic act 8551 together the
previous laws and issuance relating thereto. It includes the organizational structure and administration of the Philippine National Police, both national and local levels.
Emphasis is given on direction, supervision, coordination, and control of all local police as a homogenous body under a single command. It includes the basic management
functions insofar as these are applied to the police organization.

II. Course Learning Outcome


1. Can state the importance and value of Law Enforcement organization and administration to criminology students.
2. Can serve as their reference in applying to uniformed personnel.
3. Can understand how the police function.
4. Can discuss the evaluation policing system in other country and how it affects the policing system in the Philippines.
5. Can explain the police evolution in policing in the Philippines.
6. Can discuss the Republic act 6975 and Republic act 8551 together with the previous laws and issuances related to the Philippine National Police.
7. Can understand the importance of the police unit in our country.

This course deals with the entire organization and administration of Philippine National Police. It also studied the structure and function of every police officer and other
