1.0 PURPOSE:
The purpose of this procedure is to provide for a system and instructions, and to assign
responsibilities for managing materials and wastes resulting from GOLDEN FALCON TECHNICAL
SERVICES activities, including their identification, storage, handling and disposal.

2.0 SCOPE:

This procedure applies to all materials and wastes that are associated with significant HSE
aspects, objectives and targets.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITIES:

3.1 The Departmental Heads in cooperation with the HSE


Representative are responsible for identifying material and waste streams that
are associated with significant HSE aspects, also responsible for defining general
control requirements for the relevant types of materials and wastes.
3.2 The Departmental Representatives that purchase, store, handle,
Process, generate and dispose the materials and wastes are responsible for
developing and implementing the appropriate control measures.

4.0 PROCEDURE:

4.1 Material Storage & Handling:


4.1.1 Materials and components used in GOLDEN FALCON TECHNICAL SERVICES
activities shall be stored in designated locations.
4.1.2 Hazardous materials shall be stored in appropriate containers and identified
by signs and labels. Special storage areas and arrangements shall be provided
depending on the type, quantity and level of hazardous of the material. This
shall be made to ensure adequate ventilation, segregation of incompatible
materials, fire extinguishers and other such controls in order to minimize the
risk and mitigate impacts of accidental spills, releases or contamination.

4.2 Waste Management:


4.2.1 The Environmental representative with the assistance of departmental heads
shall analyze the major waste streams to identify the following:
4.2.1.1 Quantities, characteristics and types of the generated wastes including
determination of hazardous waste, and
4.2.1.2 Processes and activities that generate these wastes (refer to the work
instructions mentioned at the reference documents part).
4.2.2 The Environmental representative with the assistance of

Departmental heads shall establish appropriate control


Systems foe hazardous wastes in order to:
4.2.2.1 Address legal, regulatory and other requirements,
4.2.2.2 Minimize the risk and mitigate impacts of accidental spills, releases or
contamination, and
4.2.2.3 Prevent pollution.
4.2.3 The control systems should address the following issues (refer to the
work instructions mentioned at the reference documents part), as
appropriate:
4.2.3.1 Standard storage areas (location, secondary containment, restriction of
access and other necessary controls),
4.2.3.2 Storage containers and/or bags,
4.2.3.3 Storage signs and labels (warning and identification),
4.2.3.4 Personal protective equipment and training,
4.2.3.5 Disposal (approval of treatment or disposal facilities, manifesting,
reconciliation and record keeping).
4.2.4 The methods of managing the wastes shall be described in the work
instructions.
4.2.5 The form Compliance of correct handling of special wastes
Resulting from CI activities must be filled in before servicing to ensure
the safe handling of such wastes (Grease & Oil) by the client after the
end of the service.
4.2.6 The Receipt form for waste handling resulting form must be filled after the
safe handling of waste to keep records for quantity and price of waste
given to the client.

4.3 Prevention of Pollution:


4.3.1 The ultimate objective of the material and waste
Management program is to prevent pollution.
4.3.2 The Environmental representative with the assistance of
Departmental heads shall analyze the waste streams and the processes
and activities that generate wastes in order to identify opportunities for:
4.3.2.1 Reduction of waste generation,
4.3.2.2 Waste recycling and treatment,
4.3.2.3 Material substitutions and process changes, and
4.3.2.4 More efficient use of materials.
4.3.3 The opportunities for improving performance related to prevention
of pollution are defined in terms of environmental objectives and
targets as described in the QSHE Objectives & Targets Procedure,
also refer to the work instructions mentioned at the reference
documents part).
