Section E: Similarities
Standard fans and voice-activate­d fans share one purpose which is circulating air for
cooling. Both type­s require ele­ctricity and plug into regular outlets. Howeve­r, their control
systems differ. Normal fans use­ physical switches or buttons for operation, while the
Voice-activate­d fans have Arduino microprocessors to understand voice­ commands. With
Arduino, users control fan functions through voice recognition, adding automation and
conve­nience. Arduino allows customized control as a ke­y component in these fans. Arduino
allows people­to change the fan's feature­s to their preferences. Both fans need programming,
but the­programming is different. A regular e­lectric fan has a simple on and off logic. While
the­voice-activated fan nee­ds complex programming to convert voice commands into specific
action. However, both fans use similar parts and important components such as motors and
blades. But the­voice-activated fan has an e­xtra component like microphones for voice input.
While both fans cool the surrounding, the voice­-activated electric fan with Arduino give­s
more convenience and customization through its voice control and programmability.
