NARRATIVE REPORT FOR PLANT TOUR 2023

PETE 409 – RESERVOIR GEOMECHANICS

After attending the said activity, the students will make a parallel activity that will focus on the
relationship of stress to the geologic structures visited. The narrative report will consist of five
(5) chapters. This report will be done per group consisting of five* members and must be
submitted on or before May 11, 2023. Use Times New Roman 12, Single Spacing, with a
minimum of 10 pages.

Chapter I – Introduction
This chapter presents the field description and information about the
area/environment, including its origin, history, classification.

Chapter II – Analysis
This chapter presents the type of stress caused the formation of the
structures, what tectonic plates are involved, its faulting and folding, what types
of rocks, species, are present in the area.

Chapter III – Observations & Concept Sketches

This chapter presents the observations including not less than 4 concept
sketches about the environmental and internal conditions affecting rock
behavior of the geologic features present.

Chapter IV – Conclusions
This chapter presents the conclusions derived based from the analysis
and observations made from the previous chapter. Include detailed
explanation / description for each of the concept sketches (at least 5 sentences
each).

Chapter V – Documentation/Pictures
This chapter presents the pictures taken at every geologic location
visited with a brief caption / description.
