Learning
Illustrates an Experiment, Outcome, Sample Space and Event Code: M8GE-IVf-1
Competency/ies:
 Experiment: a measurement process that produces quantifiable results.
(e.g. throwing two dice, dealing cards, at poker, measuring heights of people,
recording proton-proton collisions)
Key Concepts/
 Outcome: a single result from a measurement.
understandings to
(e.g. the numbers shown on the two dice)

 Sample space: the set of all possible outcomes from an experiment.
(e.g. the set of all possible five-card hands)
 Event: is any subset of a sample set (including the empty set, and the whole set).

(Experiment, Outcome, Sample Space and Event), and marker.
2. Let the students discuss among their group to where they can post each word on
the manila paper with examples already in it.
