1 Ensure that a valid work order and electrical work permit is prepared for the activity.
Take valid Electrical work permit from authorized authority before starting any PM

activity on the Transformer.
3 Prepare a scheme to isolate the transformer from both HT and LT side.
Ensure that transformer HT & LT side CB are open, locked and tagged out as per

corporate LOTO procedure.
Discharge the transformer from both LT & HT side before working; keep the
4
discharge rod connected to the trafo bus bars till the job is complete.
5 Clean trafo tank, radiator and other parts.
6 Clean trafo LT & HT bushing and check for physical damage and leakages.
7 Check Oil level in HT & LT Bushing.
8 Check arcing horns for uniformity in all phases and adjust gaps if required.
9 Check trafo for oil leakages and take remedial actions.
10 Check Oil level in conservator and OLTC tank and do the necessary top up.
11 Check relief vent diaphragms and replace if necessary.
12 Check silica gel in oil breather and replace or reactivate if necessary.
13 Do the paint work where ever required.
14 Check the status of all valves.
15 Operate radiator cut off valves and check if they are in operating condition.
Take oil samples for Oil test like BDV, DGA, Moisture content, Tan Delta,

Resistivity etc.
17 Do the control cable dressing where ever required.
18 Clean HV & LV WTI / OTI dirty gauge glasses
