A. Classroom Management/
Preparation
a.1 Opening Prayer

name is mentioned)
B. Review of the Previous Lesson/
Activities
How did your interviews with
your respondents went through?
Anybody who would like to share
their experiences to the class?
(Students volunteer to share their
Thank you for sharing your experiences to the class)
experiences.

All these things which you have

experienced during your data
gathering are all part of doing a
research. The good thing about
it is that despite of some
difficulties that went through,
you did not quit, and you
continue to gather your data.

Congratulations class for a job

well done!
Thank you ma’am!
C. Motivation
Now, I will showing you
something in front, 2 will pictures
and the third will be a fellow
classmate of yours. I want you to
tell me 1 word that comes to your
mind upon seeing the picture or 1
of your classmate.

Here is the first picture.

(Teacher shows a picture of a
heart shape)
(Possible answers)

you get from the arrangement?
(Teacher presents an
arrangement of the pictures with
the same female student {Girl-
heart shape-K-Pop Group}) Princess loves BTS

Very good!

D. Presentation
(Springboard question for the
new lesson)
What do you think helped you
come up with the meanings of
what you saw. We analyzed first the
arrangements, and then we
interpreted it based on what we
have analyzed.
Very Good! We are going to
learn more about data analysis
and interpretation today.

But before that, may I ask a

volunteer to read our objectives
for today’s lesson. (Student volunteers to read the
objectives)

d.1 Activity
(Group work)
You will be working with your
group again today. You go to
your group and I will be giving
you group tasks. I need
4

everybody to pay attention to the

instructions. Each group will be
given a piece of paper which
5

contains questions. Do some

brainstorming with your group to
come up with an agreed answer
to the questions. Write your
answers on the manila paper.
Each group will be given 15
minutes to accomplish the task.
Then choose 1 member from your
group who will present or explain
your answers in front.

Questions/task for each group:

Group 1: How would define Data
Analysis? Be ready to
explain your answer.
Group 2: Why should analysis of
data be done first
before interpretation?
Be ready to explain your
answer.
Group 3: How significant is a
qualitative data
analysis? Be ready to
explain your answer. Group 4:
How do you interpret a
data? Be ready to
explain your answer. (Students join with their group and
works on the tasks)
For this activity, be guided with
the Rubrics posted on the board.

Rubrics for Group Work:

Cooperation/Participation - 50%
Delivery - 20%
Content - 20%
Neatness - 10%
100%
Let us now have the presentation
of your answers. Each
representative of a group will be
given 2 minutes to present or
explain the answers.
(Each representative of the group
d.2 Analysis presents or explain their answers)
Guide Questions during the
presentation of answers?
1. Why did come up with such a
definition of Data Analysis?
2. What is your primary aim in
analysing data?
6

3. What makes a qualitative

data Analysis subjective? 4.
Why is it necessary to
interpret the data after
analyzing it.

Very good class! Well done! You

all did you best to answer the
questions.

d.3 Abstraction
Now let us discuss further
important points in your answers.

Once you have your data, you must

analyze it.
Data analysis is a process of
understanding data or known fact or
assumptions serving as the basis of
any claims or conclusions you have
about something.
Your primary aim in analyzing
recorded data is to find out if they
exist to operate to give answers to
the research questions you raised to
your acts of collecting them.
In a qualitative research, you
analyze or study data that reflect the
respondent’s thoughts, feelings,
attitudes, or views about something.
These are subjective data that are
expressed in words and these words
serve as the unit of analysis in a
qualitative type of research. You
examine these subjective data to
understand how related or relevant
they are to your research problem or
specific research questions.
Data is evaluated and then
interpreted appropriately, logically,
and thoroughly. Discussion is
confined to what can be inferred
from the significant findings of the
study.

d.4 Application
Now, based on what you have
learned today, about data analysis
and interpretation, bring out your
questionnaires and start
7

analyzing some of the

answers of your
respondents.

And then when you are done

analyzing your data, you can start
interpreting the result. Be
reminded that in the
interpretation of your data
results, you must be able to relate
your research questions with your
data analysis results.

Class, do not worry. I know that

it will require more time to be
able to do such task. I am giving
you then until our next meeting
to be able to accomplish this task.

If you have any questions, I will

be available for consultation at
the faculty room during my
vacant period.

IV. Assessment Individual Output (Portfolio)

Initial Output of data analysis and interpretation of their gathered data.
V. Assignment Continue your data analysis and interpretation at home.
