Business has always been a world of risk, it is a matter of hard work, knowledge, and

creativity, especially on different strategies you must do for the business to succeed. Every
individual that is part of the business has their specific role which shows the essence of
teamwork because through this we can gather concepts and ideas, and most importantly
contribute to the manpower that is needed in every area of the business. Pinbap is inspired by
the Korean food “Kimbap” concept but with a twist of incorporating Filipino taste and tradition
which showcases different Filipino cuisine through its flavors.

During the first day, we as a group decided to go to school early in the morning to sell
our product to those who would attend the motorcade. On this day, upon selling the products the
1st batch that we prepared was sold out already so we decided to go to the market and buy
more ingredients and prepare the 2nd batch of product which is again already sold by 5 in the
afternoon. By afternoon, we’ve already combined all the money we got from selling the product,
afterwards we’ve computed how much we earned for the day and used this profit to buy new
ingredients for the second day. Also, our runners decided to go to the market to buy the
ingredients needed for tomorrow so we could prepare as early as possible. The data that we
have, shows that our sales for the second day are bigger than the first day which shows that
more people bought our products on our second day. Same as the first day, we prepared 2
batches of the product because as early as 1 in the afternoon our first batch of products is sold
out and prepared again for another batch but on this day we are in the booth selling the product
up to 9:30 in the evening since there are still people on that time. Overall, our 2 days of selling
the product brought different opportunities for us to learn more about how business works.

They say experience is the best teacher, within our 2-day journey of selling our product it
has been a roller coaster ride yet full of learnings that we will use when we are about to enter
the corporate world. We encountered different people, with different preferences and taste
which challenged our work ethics, strategic plans, communication skills, and resiliency. One of
the things that we’ve observed, consumers are more attracted to the marketing strategy where
producers are more skilled in terms of communicating their product, explaining the price, the
taste, and how good the product is in a more detailed manner. Also, people are more engaged
with the social platforms which is why it is very effective that we provided an advertisement that
persuades them to buy our product because of the catchy phrases and advertisement that we
made. In addition, we also saw the importance of distributing the work with everyone who is part
of the business so that we can do all the work efficiently. In terms of competition, despite having
a lot of competitors, we became more innovative and creative at the same time in creating a
good impression towards our consumers to rise among other businesses. Aside from all these
learnings, we also learned how to manage the money wisely and critically budget it to cover all
the expenses needed for the business. Overall, this experience taught us a lot of things such as
enhancing our skills in marketing, developing qualities of being a good entrepreneur, and
learning to create concepts prioritizing its target market for more efficient work.
