NARRATIVE REPORT

ACTIVITY TITLE: Participation on the DIVISION TRAINING ON

COACHING AND OFFICIATING OF SCHOOL SPORTS EVENTS
for the S.Y.2023-2024
In line with the Division Memorandum No. 412, s. 2023 entitled Division Training
on Coaching and Officiating of School Sports Events, upholding the Department of
Education’s Programs on Sports particularly the implementation of Sports Clubs in the
Public School System, this training shall guide participants on the proper establishment and
implementation of Sports Club in their respective schools. It will also capacitate them to
identify and train potential athletes. Moreover, it shall provide them appropriate technical
skills and knowledge on coaching and officiating during their participation in conducting
local sports competitions.

Samar Division gave me an opportunity to be a trainer of this division training.

Gymnastics has four disciplines and I was tasked as the trainer in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
Combative sports and gymnastics are assigned to do five-day live-out training. Three days for
virtual activity from November 25-27, 2023 and two days for practicum/face-to-face from
December 2-3, 2023.

For the Virtual Activity last November 25-27, 2023, I discussed comprehensively the
following topics in Rhythmic Gymnastics:
 Samar Division Technical Guidelines in Rhythmic Gymnastics
 Palarong Pambansa 2023 Technical Guidelines in Rhythmic Gymnastics
 Competition Program for Rhythmic Gymnastics
 Rhythmic Gymnastics Code of Points 2022-2024
 Rhythmic Gymnastics Jumps/Leaps Elements
 Rhythmic Gymnastics Balances Elements
 Rhythmic Gymnastics Rotation Elements
 Rhythmic Gymnastics Artistry
 Rhythmic Gymnastics Execution
 Disseminated information about the Rhythmic Gymnastics’ Virtual Activity together
with other Tournament Managers, Trainers and Samar Division Sports Coordinator,
Mr. Baldwin Babon.
 On December 2-3, 2023 was our practicum/face-to-face and it was held at Clarencio
Calagos Memorial School of Fisheries, Sta. Margarita, Samar. On the first day, we reviewed
the topics that we discussed and performed different elements in jumps/leaps, balances and
rotation and other requirements in Rhythmic Gymnastics. I also gave them a task to make a
routine in any apparatuses that they like, and they will perform it on the next/final day. On
the final day, the trainees performed their routines and after performing, they took the post-
test. They got high points in their post-test. The closing program was done at exactly 3
o’clock in the afternoon.

Indeed, it was a very fruitful activity. I enjoyed sharing my knowledge to the new
aspiring coaches of Samar Division.

NARRATIVE REPORT

ACTIVITY TITLE: Participation on the DISTRICT ATHLETIC

MEET for the S.Y.2023-2024
In line with the approved letter of the conduct of District Athletic Meet on December
8-9, 2023, dated December 5, 2023. Anent to this, as one of the officiating officials, I was
tasked as the Tournament Manager in Gymnastics. I actively participated in the said activity.

On Day 1, December 8, arrival of every delegation and parade. The opening program
was held at Villareal National High School. Afterwards, solidarity meeting of all of the
officiating officials and coaches at the VNHS Library. In the afternoon, sports competition
started.

The gymnastics competition was held at Villareal 1 Central Elementary School's plaza.
It was competed by 3 schools. Namely: Villareal 1 Elementary School, Nagcaduha
Elementary School and Divine Mercy Integrated Academy of Villareal, Inc. Only three
disciplines in gymnastics were conducted because there was no entry in aerobics gymnastics.
All the potential gymnasts were chosen to present in the upcoming Unit V Athletic Meet.

On the second day, December 9, 2023, we awarded the Medals and Certificates to the
deserving Gymnasts and Coaches. Then, closing ceremony in the afternoon.

Indeed, it was a very fruitful activity I have attended so far. It was full of learnings,
which will be applied for the upcoming Unit V Athletic Meet.

ACTIVITY TITLE: Participation on the UNIT-V ATHLETIC

SPORTS COMPETITION for the S.Y.2023-2024
In line with the approved letter of the conduct of UNIT-V Athletic Sports Competition
on January 12-14, 2024, dated December 4, 2024. Anent to this, as one of the officiating
officials, I was tasked as the Tournament Manager in Gymnastics. I actively participated in
the said activity.

On the first day, January 12, 2024, the arrival of every delegation. A mass was offered
at exactly 1 o’clock in the afternoon and it was followed by a parade. The opening program
was held at the Calbiga Auditorium. Afterwards, solidarity meeting of all of the officiating
officials and coaches was done in the same venue. As the gymnastics tournament manager, I
gave the form of the order of performance to the coaches so that they will fill in the needed
information of their gymnasts.

On the second day, all competitions started. The gymnastics competition was held at
the covered court of Brgy. Rawis, Calbiga, Samar. All four disciplines in gymnastics were
conducted, including: Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic
Gymnastics and Aerobics Gymnastics. All the potential gymnasts were chosen to present in
the upcoming SPAA Meet.

On the third day, January 14, 2024, we awarded the medals and certificates to the
deserving Gymnasts and Coaches. Then, closing ceremony in the afternoon.

Indeed, it was a very fruitful activity I have attended so far. It was full of learnings,
which will be applied for the upcoming SPAA Meet.
