KASAGBET 2023 SY: 2022-2023

Part I. Background Information

A. Rationale of the Program/Activity

 In consonance with Republic Act 10588, Section 2 declares that "It is the Policy of the
State to promote physical education and encourages sports program, league competitions and
amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to foster self-discipline,
teamwork, and excellence for the development of healthy and alert citizenry.”
Thus, the Department of Education Sarangani Division through the School
Governance and Operations Division issues the Guidelines for the implementation of Sports
Programs for the school year 2022-2023 with reference to the DepEd Order 34 s. 2022,
School Calendar and Activities for the SY 2022-2023.

Kibac Integrated School recognizes sports as one of the ways to deliver the basic
instruction in motor skills and other recreational activities through a comprehensive program
of physical education. The implementation of these programs includes not only training in
motor development and physiological integrity but the knowledge necessary to support an
active, productive, and healthy quality of life. Intramurals and sports clubs are part of the
MAPEH curriculum. These sports programs provide the opportunity, regardless of athletic
skill level, to learn an energetic approach to life that can contribute to their enjoyment of
leisure and maintain a style of living that contributes to their emotional, social, and
physiological well-being.

A Kasagbet 2023, a Blaan word that just means "Padula," will be held at Kibac
Integrated School in the final week of January, in line with the released by our School Head,
School Memorandum # ___. It is time for our students to develop to the fullest extent possible
in sports.

B. Objectives of the Activity

 Provide equal opportunities to all types of learners to participate in sport and

recreational activities
 Conduct activities in a safe and professionally supervised environment.
 Nurture a healthy spirit of competition, sportsmanship and teamwork.

 Expose students to leisure activities that will contribute to an active lifestyle and
enhance physical fitness.

C. Expected Outcome and Results

The expected outputs of intramural sports include: improved self-confidence, improved

social relations, allows my ability to socially interact, increases ability to socially interact, and
increases commitment to peers. Participation in intramurals aids students in further developing
their social skills, cooperation, teamwork, physical literacy, and overall health.
D. Summary Profile of the Participants

The participants of the activity were the faculty and staff of Kibac Integrated School,
the PTA officials, SGC officials, parents, and participating student athletes who will be playing
the following games and sports.
Part II. Highlights of the Activity

A. Preliminaries and Closing Activity

Kibac Integrated School implemented the full blast face to face classes from Monday to
Friday, and on January 23-27, 2022, Kibac IS will celebrate KASAGBET 2023 -
INTRAMURALS, However, the class will resume as soon as KASAGBET 2023 -
INTRAMURALS opening ceremony is over on January 23, 2022. Day 1 - Opening Program
and Parade of all delegations will take place on Monday, January 23, 2022. Prior to the
parade, however, all pupils in the school will register and attendance, in accordance with the
school's health protocol, under the supervision of our COVID Coordinator, Sir Crist Jhon
Bunayog. The parade will begin at 6:30 a.m., starting in the center of the community and
proceeding to the school campus. At 7 a.m., the preliminary will begin with the prayer of
Ma'am Precy Jean C. Casisi, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem,
Region Hymn, and Sarangani Hymn, led by the SSG Officers. The master of ceremonies will
start by calling the participants. Sir Dharell Jay S. Sevilla, the sports coordinator, will then give
his welcome remarks. Sir Arbert B. Lanchita, our active school head, will then give his
Statement of Purposes. Finally, Sir Dharell Jay S. Sevilla will light the torch to signal the
beginning of Kasagbet 2022 - Intramurals. The competition proper will begin at 4 o'clock in
the afternoon on the same day, to be continued on January 24 Afternoon, 25 Afternoon, 26
Afternoon and 27 [Day 2-5] in the morning, on January 25, 2022 [Day 5] afternoon program at

exactly 4 o'clock in the afternoon, there will be a search for Mr. and Ms. Kasagbet 2023 -
Intramurals, followed by the awarding ceremony for all the winners in different sports
competition, followed by the acknowledgement by the school head, and closing prayer will be
given by Sir Jasper Jared D. Macion thanking the almighty father for the successful event.

B. Synthesis

Kibac Integrated School recognizes sports as one of the ways to deliver the
