Starter activity:
Brainstorming : :
Use the computer or interactive whiteboard to display a desktop screen. Point out the desktop
background and explain that it's like the wallpaper of a room. Then, demonstrate how to click
on icons to open programs or files. Allow students to take turns clicking on icons and opening
simple programs like a drawing tool or a game.

Methodology (Main activity, Group Work, Pair Work, Wrap up)


Main Activity:
 Provide each student with a piece of paper and drawing materials. Ask them to draw their
ideal desktop scene, including a background (like a room or outdoor scene) and icons
representing their favorite programs or activities. Encourage creativity and imagination,
and allow students to share their creations with the class.
 Group Work:

Provide students with a variety of desktop icons (either on a computer or printed out). Ask them
to sort the icons into categories based on their function or purpose (e.g., work-related icons,
entertainment icons, educational icons). Encourage discussion about why certain icons belong
in each category and how they are useful in organizing the desktop.
Wrap Up: Recap the different elements of a desktop, including the background
(wallpaper), icons, and taskbar (if applicable). Encourage students to recall the purpose of
each element and how they interact with them.
