AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PERSONS CREATING ANY CHISMIS AGAINSTS OTHER

PERSON RESULTING TO QUARELL AND MISUNDERSTANDING, IMPOSING PENALTIES TO

VIOLATION THEREFORE

WHEREAS The right of one person to his/her privacy and dignity and right to express and other
right will be violated;

WHEREAS Tsismis/Gossip some Filipino habit that has been one of the major problem of
resulting to quarrel, misunderstanding and causing to fight with each other particularly in the
barangay;

WHEREAS Result to the humiliation of the individual personality also affects not only the person
invilved but also his/her family and even the innocent person by Extension;

WHEREAS to be able to stop this practice for wrong doing and creating tsismis/gossip this
barangay implements an ordinance is the legal basis to give penalty to violation where
committed.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang Barangay that:

SECTION 1: Title. This ordinance shall be know as the ANTI-CHISMIS ORDINANCE of Barangay.

SECTION 2: Purpose. It is the purpose of this ordinance to protecting the constituents to the
persons creating any chismis and false accusations can cause quarrel and misunderstanding of
individual person.

SECTION 3: Violations of the provisions of this ordinance shall be penalized accordingly

amounting to Five Thousand Pesos (P5,000.00).

SECTION 6. This Ordinance will take effect upon its approval.
