LESSON 2 ACTIVITY

In one of your encounters with art through

museum visits, musicals, plays, etc., have you
ever felt disconnected with an artwork? Was
there a pint in time when you did not
understand what message the art was trying to convey? If yes, write the name of the artwork in
the box and attach the image of the artwork. Explain why you think you did or did not
understand the art.
Yes, I encountered some and I watch a drama recently which is the Law School it is a Legal
Korean Drama. In the beginning it's interesting to watch but it has some of subs-stories in the
beginning that doesn't connect for me and even until I almost finish watching I don't even see
the connection or understand all the backstory of every problem that occur in the drama. There
is no really explanation unlike the other dramas that I watch there always a flashback that
connects every stories in beginning till the end.

As the drama goes by there are some subs stories that also interesting but doesn't connect with
the main stories that's why I don't really understand the flow of the story and I don't really
enjoy it that much.

LESSON 3 ACTIVITY

Let’s Work On This

Answer the following questions as precisely yet as thoroughly as possible.

1. What art form/artwork has changed something in your life? Why? Account for the
experience.
-Basically, the love of art will change many things in a person's life. In my opinion, if you are an
artist and have just created something, it might be simple and might not feel that great to
anyone else, but you, as a person, have achieved it by yourself, and you can be proud of what
you have created. It's something you made, and it will give you a feeling of happiness and great
achievement. So, even that small artwork you have created will bring you satisfaction and a
sense of relief

2. Does art always have a function?

Why? Support your response.
Provide your own
example.
-Arts always have a function, but it
can't be assigned since the function
of an art form depends on its context. The function usually varies based on how it has been
perceived by the one viewing it.

3. If an artwork ceased to have a function, will it remain an art? Why?

-Of course, art does not, most of the time, have a function. It may be purely made for the purpose
of entertaining the artists' minds. Or to just serve as an art form, nothing more. The function of a
term is to be useful to other terms If it represents something for a movement, then it has a
function in society.

Let’s Make It Happen

Look around your house and identify a product of art. In the box below, capture an image of it
and attach the picture of that product of art in your household. Trace the beginnings of this item
and identify what functions it has played in history (e.g., a painting of the Last Supper in your
dining room or a spoon).

-CHARGER, I's a physical function of art where we can use it to charge our cellphones or
gadgets when they are low so that we can use it again.
