Description: This lesson will develop second-grade knowledge regarding

the days of the week.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to identify each day of the week and
give a description. They will also be able to provide examples of each in a sentence.

Step 1 My second-grade class will watch this video produced by Khan Academy on
YouTube, and it goes over the days of the week. This will be a good starting point that
gives the kids a beginner’s look into the days.

Step 2 Then my students will use the learn and test option provided by Quizlet to start
testing their knowledge. The learning aspect provides them with flashcards and simple
activities. The test will see if they have learned anything from the flashcards and
activities. My students will do the learning activities 3 times and the test until they
receive an 80 or above.

Step 3 For the final step, my second graders will create a Kahoot game that provides
the days of the week and their definitions. Then they will play the game until receiving
a 100. They will have to submit a screenshot of their score so I can verify the score.
