Discussion

This morning we will discuss about texture so

just as physical materials have texture so thus
music, but of course texture in music is
characterized by sound and not feel. You might
describe to the texture of song in terms of its
dynamic tempo and range, however texture
refers to the structure of musical compositions
showing how many various layer or voicers are
heared at the same time here are the Three
Types of Texture;
1) Monophonic Texture
2) Homophonic Texture
3) Polyphonic Texture

Who can read what is the first type of texture Me teacher (The student will read)

MONOPHONIC TEXTURE
Or Monophony is a single melodic line

from the prefix “mono" which’s means

one it means that there is only one sound
and all the voices sing the same notes
together.

Now who can read the second type Me teacher (The student will read)

HOMOPHONIC TEXTURE
Is a single melodic line with
accompaniment

This type of texture gives focus on

the melody and its main features
and its supported and colored by
another instruments like guitar or
a piano.

Now who can read the last type of texture Me teacher (The student will read)

POLYPHONIC TEXTURE
Contain two or more melodies
sounded together simultaneously

From the prefix “poly" which

means many its means there are
many sound. Alright here you can
hear different voices sounded
together simultaneously its
accompanied with many
instruments.
