Group 4
Activity: The Menstrual Cycle Story
Once upon a time, there was a human gamete called the egg cell. The
egg cell travels in 4 phases in the fallopian tube every
28 days 14 days
The first stage of her journey begins when someone gets their period -
when the thickened lining of the
uterus ovary
is no longer needed. After the menstruation, the uterus will
breakdown repair
itself in preparation for possible pregnancy. After that, ovulation will now
soon begin. The egg cell will be released from the
uterus ovary
Then, the egg cell will travel to the fallopian tube and will wait for the
human cell sperm cell
for fertilization to take place. If fertilization will not take place, the linings
will continue to thicken and the cycle will begin once more.
