彼は優しい司祭でした。

でも、彼は貧しい人々のために尽くした愛と奉仕によって、

世界の人々とって紛れもなく偉大な人物となりました。

彼は 私 たちにとって、 真 の回心の模範だと思います。

神様に出会えることを 私 たちに教えてくれました。

貧しい人々がヴィンセンショ・ア・パオロを回心させ、偉大な人にしました。

私 たち人間が 救 済 されるには、司祭になる必要もないし、

信心深い日本人になることもありません。

貧しい人たちがいつでも 私 たちを助けてくれるからです。

Today is the feast of the founder of my Congregation, St. Vincent de Paul.

He is a simple priest whose love and service for the poor
made him a great person before God for many people in this world.
He is a true example of conversion for every one of us.
He taught us that if we only look at the poor from our heart ‘we will encounter God.’
It is the poor who converted Vincent De Paul to be a great man.
I believe, they can convert me, you, and all of us to God.
It is not necessary to be a priest, or a very religious Japanese to be saved.
The poor will always help us.
For Vincent de Paul, the Love and service for the poor is our salvation.
