Abbreviations

MR – magic ring;
CH – a chain stitch;
SC – single crochet;
SL ST – slip stitch;

BLO – back loops only;

Crab stitch – reverse sc;
INC – single crochet increase (work 2 sc into
one stitch);
DEC – single crochet decrease (close 2 sc
together).
Crochet front legs
Start working in green yarn color, you do not need to
control stitch marker location. Stuff the work as you
go.
1. Start 6 sc in a MR (6 sc).
2. 6 inc (12 sc).
3. (1 sc, inc)6 (18 sc).
4-5. 18 sc (2 rounds).
6. (1 sc, dec)6 (12 sc).
7-23. 12 sc (17 rounds).
Change yarn color to light blue, cut and fasten off
green yarn color, hide remained yarn tails inside.
24. 12 sc.
25. Put the work together and crochet 5 sc into BLO.
Now work in light blue yarn color into unused front
loops of the 24th round to crochet the sleeves. Insert
hook from top to bottom as pictured.

1. 12 sc
Change yarn color to white, do not cut blue yarn color.
2. (1 sc, inc)6 (18 sc).
3. 18 sc
Change yarn color to light blue.
4-5. 18 sc (2 rounds).
Change yarn color to white.
6-7. 18 sc (2 rounds).
Change yarn color to light blue, cut and fasten off
white yarn color, hide remained yarn tail inside.
8-9. 18 sc (2 rounds).
Place the sleeve above front leg as pictured.
Crochet back legs
Make 2, work in green yarn color, stitch marker is
placed in the middle of the back, stuff the work as you
go.
1. Start 6 sc in a MR (6 sc).
2. 6 inc (12 sc).
3. (1 sc, inc)6 (18 sc).
4. (2 sc, inc)6 (24 sc).
5. 24 sc into BLO.
6-7. 24 sc (2 rounds).
8. (6 sc, dec)3 (21 sc).
9. (5 sc, dec)3 (18 sc).
Change yarn color to blue, cut and fasten off green
yarn color, hide it inside the work.
10. 18 sc.
11. (5 sc, inc)3 (21 sc).
12-14. 21 sc (3 rounds).
15. (6 sc, inc)3 (24 sc).
16-21. 24 sc (6 rounds).
Crochet the body
Cut the yarn when you finish first leg, do not cut the
yarn when you finish the second leg.
Crochet sl st to connect two legs. You can crochet sl st
to any stitch of first leg. You connected the legs on
the back, place stitch marker to control its location. If
you notice that stitch marker shifts to the sides,
crochet stitches to shift. Stuff the body as you go.
Now continue working in blue yarn color in the round:
crochet 24 sc on one leg and 24 sc on another leg = 48
sc.
1-9. 48 sc (9 rounds).
Change yarn color to light blue yarn color, cut and
fasten off blue yarn color, hide remained yarn tail
inside.
10-11. 48 sc (2 rounds).
Attach blue yarn color; do not cut white yarn color.
From this place alternate 2 rounds in light blue color /
2 rounds in white yarn color.
12-14. 48 sc (2 rounds).
15. (6 sc, dec)6 (42 sc).
16. 42 sc
17. (5 sc, dec)6 (36 sc).
18. 36 sc.
19. (4 sc, dec)6 (30 sc).
20-22. 30 sc (3 rounds).
23. 8 sc, crochet 5 sc through the stitches of the arm
and the body simultaneously, 11 sc, crochet 5 sc
through the stitches of the arm and the body

Change yarn color to green, cut and fasten off light
blue and white yarn colors, hide them inside the work.
26. 24 sc.
27. (4 sc, dec)4 (20 sc).
28. 20 sc. Cut and fasten off the yarn.
Now insert your crochet hook in the 10th round in front
and attach mustard yarn color, make ch25, skip 10 or
12 stitches on the left and crochet sl st to connect the
chain and the body.
Embroider light blue lines to decorate the knees. Sew a
heart button on the sweater.
Crochet the tail
Work in green yarn color. Stuff as you go.
1. Start 6 sc in a MR (6 sc).
2. (1 sc, inc)3 (9 sc).
3. 9 sc.
4. (2 sc, inc)3 (12 sc).
5. 12 sc.
6. (3 sc, inc)3 (15 sc).
7. 15 sc.
8. (4 sc, inc)3 (18 sc).
9. 18 sc.
10. (5 sc, inc)3 (21 sc).
11. 21 sc.
12. (6 sc, inc)3 (24 sc).
13. 24 sc.
14. (7 sc, inc)3 (27 sc).
15. 27 sc.
16. (8 sc, inc)3 (30 sc).
17-24. 30 sc (8 rounds).
25. 15 sc, turn the work
26. ch1, 15 sc, turn the work again.
27. ch1, 15 sc.
28. Crochet 15 sc in the round.
Sew the tail on the back.
Now place pins along the tail as pictured, and crochet
along the tail, insert hook into gaps between stitches.
Make ch5, and then crochet sl st into the stitch where
you started making chain. Crochet sc into next stitch
and make ch5. Continue working to the end of the
round.
Crochet the head
Work in green yarn color, crochet the head from top to
bottom, stitch marker goes through the middle of back
part. Stuff the work as you go.
1. Start 6 sc in a MR (6 sc).
2. 6 inc (12 sc).
3. (1 sc, inc)6 (18 sc).
4. (2 sc, inc)6 (24 sc).
5. (3 sc, inc)6 (30 sc).
6. (4 sc, inc)6 (36 sc).
7-9. 36 sc (3 rounds).
10. (5 sc, inc)6 (42 sc).
If you use safety eyes, install them as you go in the
13th -14th rounds with the distance 4 stitches between
the eyes.
11-13. 42 sc (3 rounds).
Please note! Inc in the 14th round are placed from both
sides!
14. 7 sc, (1 sc, inc)4, 12 sc, (inc, 1 sc)4, 7 sc (50 sc).
15-18. 50 sc (4 rounds).
19. (8 sc, dec)5 (45 sc).
20. (7 sc, dec)5 (40 sc).
21. (6 sc, dec)5 (35 sc).
22. (5 sc, dec)5 (30 sc).

Do not pull the opening closed. Cut and fasten off the
yarn, leaving a long yarn tail to sew.
Crochet spines on the head the same way as you do for
the tail.
Crochet spines to the middle of the forehead.
Sew the head on the body, stitch number on the head
and the body are identical.
Crochet the muzzle
Work in green yarn color. Stuff the muzzle as you go.
Make ch7.
1. Crochet from the 2nd stitch from hook 5 sc, 3 sc into
1 stitch, continue working into the unused loops on the
opposite side of the chain 4 sc, inc (14 sc).
2. Inc, 4 sc, 3 inc, 4 sc, 2 inc (20 sc).
3. 1 sc, inc, 4 sc, (1 sc, inc)3, 4 sc, (1 sc, inc)2 (26 sc).
4. 26 sc.
5. 26 sl st.
Sew the muzzle closer to the eyes.
Embroider green nostrils on the 2nd or 3rd rounds with
the distance 3 or 4 stitches between the nostrils.
Details
If you use safety eyes, install them as you go in the
13th -14th rounds with the distance 4 stitches between
the eyes.
If you use glue the eyes, place pins to mark the eyes
location.

Make head sculpting (If you use safety eyes, do


sculpting around them).
HEAD SCULPTING VIDEO (click the word video).
When you finish eyes sculpting, glue the eyes.
Then embroider white lines as pictured to decorate the
eyes. Embroider black lines above the eyes to make
lashes line.
Step 2 stitches up from the eyes and embroider
eyebrows, grabbing about 3 stitches, with the distance
4 or 5 stitches between the eyebrows.

It may help to use pink eye shadows to tint the cheeks


and the nostrils.
