A. ACTIVITY:
OBJECTIVE 1: Applied knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas.
ANNOTATION:
I used Science 7 Quarter 2. MELC: Identifying the parts of the compound microscope and their
respective functions (S7LT-IIa-1) in applying knowledge of content across the teaching curriculum in
my activity. Though the lesson is delivered using TBI, the vitality to provide the study goes smoothly,
attaining its objective with MELC as the basis of the video.
The teacher instructs the students to open their phones and use the Word Wide Web or the Internet to label the
parts of the microscope. In consideration with students without Internet, they were given the option to use their
modules in science 7 in researching for the answer.

1. Directions: Label the parts of the microscope and give their

corresponding functions. Start at part A and down to part M.
Write your answers in the table provided.

2. Directions: Look at the pictures below and recall if you have seen them during your web surfing. Are you
familiar with the following?

Guide Questions:
1. What do you use when you want to find answers to your questions using the World Wide Web or the Internet?
2. Which of the listed search engines above do you use to look for information online?
3. In what ways or instances do you use these tools?
4. What do you call these tools?

B. ANALYSIS:
(OBJECTIVE 3- Displayed proficient use of Mother Tongue, Filipino, and English, to facilitate teaching and
learning. The teacher translates the questions from English to Hiligaynon.
1. As a student, how important is the internet in searching for information especially during the lockdown and
modular distance learning? (Bilang isa ka estudyante, ano ka importanti or panu naka bulig sa imo ang internet
sang nag lockdown kang sang nag modular distance learning?)
2. What are the advantages of the internet or the World Wide Web? How about its disadvantages? (Ano ang
mga kaayohan nga natuga sng internet saimo? Ano naman ya ang iya halit nga natuga?)
C. ABSTRACTION:
OBJECTIVE 2: (Used research-based knowledge and principles of teaching and learning to enhance
professional practice.)
My lesson is aligned with the MELCs and is researched-based. The information presented was from English
7-Second Quarter Module 2
What is a Search Engine?
A search engine is a website through which users can search for internet content. To do this, users enter
the desired search term into the search field. The search engine then looks through its index for relevant
websites and displays them in the form of a list. The search engine's internal evaluation algorithm determines
which position a website will get in the search results.

What are the different Search Engines?

Google, Bing, and Yahoo are examples of popular
search engines. You may type in any address on the URL bar
of your web browser (Google Chrome, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox)
and key in any words or phrases to look for information.

OBJECTIVE 2: (Used research-based knowledge and/ principles of teaching and learning to enhance
professional practice.)
My lesson is aligned with the MELCs and is researched-based. The information presented below was from
eBizMBA in October 2015.
Listed below are the top 5 most commonly used search engines according to eBizMBA in October 2015.
These rankings are continuously updated using various factors.
1. Google
 Estimated 1,100,000,000 unique monthly visitors
 Originally known as BackRub.
 A search engine that started development in 1996 by Sergey Brin and Larry Page as a
research project at Stanford University to find files on the Internet.
2. Bing
 Estimated 350,000,000 unique monthly visitors
 Microsoft created and operated a search engine, replacing its former Live Search, Windows
Live Search, and MSN Search offerings.
3. Yahoo!
 Estimated 300,000,000 unique monthly visitors
 Short for Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle! Yahoo! Was created in February 1994 by
two Stanford University Ph.D. candidates, David Filo and Jerry Yang.
4. Ask
 Estimated 245,000,000 unique monthly visitors
 Ask is the common name for the Ask.com search engine, which allows users to search in the
form of a question to find relevant results.
 Ask.com was started in 1996 by Garret Gruener and David Warthen.
5. AOL
 Estimated 125,000,000 unique monthly visitors
 America Online is the name of a popular online service. It is often abbreviated as AOL.
 The company was founded in 1985 and is considered an early Internet pioneer, providing
many Internet services in the 1990s.
These search engines will help you search for different topics that you can think of. These will also provide you
with information on current news and events around the world.
D. APPLICATION:
OBJECTIVE 8: Applied a range of successful strategies that maintain learning environments that motivate
learners to work productively by assuming responsibility for their learning

OBJECTIVE 16: Applied a personal philosophy of teaching that is learner-centered. )

In this lesson, I used Constructivism or theory in practice as the basis for planning and designing my activity.
According to Naylor and Keogh, the central principles of this approach are that the learners can only make
sense of new situations in terms of their current understanding.
Though my lesson is not experimental like Science, we can still incorporate Constructivism in some activities.
I used the 5 E’s: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate.
Directions: (Dyad Activity) Research the following information about COVID-19 below. Cite the sources. Be ready
to:
 Engage - Present your ideas and theories
 Explore- Debate and raise your thoughts and ideas. Form your hypothesis.
 Explain- Discuss thoughts and ideas and reach a consensus by giving supporting evidence that explains
the correct concepts.
 Elaborate - do a group investigation.
 Evaluate - Check which theory is correct.

Research on the following:

1. History and Origin
2. Symptoms
3. Ways to avoid the spread of COVID-19

IV. EVALUATION:
OBJECTIVE 6: (Maintained learning environments that promote fairness, respect, and care to
encourage learning. )
For test A, students are instructed to use their phones and use any search engine to look for correct answers.
After everyone was finished with test A, students were strictly advised to keep their phones to promote fairness
while answering tests B and C.

A. Directions: Use any search engine to find out the uses of each gardening tool. After you identify the
usefulness of the tools, write your answer on a piece of paper.
(OBJECTIVE 1: Applied knowledge of content within and across curriculum teaching areas. The
teacher uses 7-AGRICROP MELCS 1: Select and use farm tools and equipment.)
