ii. Rationale:

One of the features of the new MATATAG curriculum is the clear integration
of 21st-century skills which are media and information literacy, communication
skills, creative and critical thinking skills, and life and career skills for them to
become full-fledged contributors to social development and nation-building. With
this, schools and division offices need to take proactive steps to ensure that these
skills are fully developed and can be demonstrated not only in the classrooms but
also in their daily lives and the community, they live in.

With this, Curriculum Implementation Division shall conduct the Senior

High School Expo cum stakeholders’ summit where senior high school students
will showcase their products and services and present their business plans and
research outputs to the stakeholders to manifest their readiness for any
curriculum exits may it be entrepreneurship, employment, middle-level skills, or
higher education. Furthermore, this is also an advocacy for the different senior
high school tracks, strands, and specializations.

Part of the Expo is a job fair where students need to explore various job
opportunities and network with potential employers. Similarly, employers can use
this event as a platform to showcase their job openings and meet potential
candidates.

It is also believed that exposing students to this kind of activity will help
enhance their competence and boost confidence, which eventually makes them
resilient, responsible, and job-ready individuals and helps alleviate the current
economic challenges that society is facing.
