Picture Analysis in the Nervous System

In this activity, we will analyze a picture related to the nervous system. By examining the image,
we can gain a better understanding of the structures and functions of the nervous system.

Instructions:

1. Carefully observe the provided picture of the nervous system.

2. Analyze the different components and structures depicted in the image.
3. Identify and describe the functions of each component.
4. Write down your observations and analysis on a piece of paper or type them in a document.

Upon analyzing the picture of the nervous system, we can observe the following components
and structures:

1. ___________is the central control center of the nervous system. It is responsible for
processing
information, coordinating body functions, and controlling voluntary and
involuntary actions.
2. ___________ is a long, thin bundle of nerves that extends from the base of the brain down
the
back. It serves as a pathway for transmitting signals between the brain and the
rest of the body.
3. __________ are the communication channels of the nervous system. They carry electrical
signals, known as nerve impulses, between the brain, spinal cord, and various
parts of the body.
4. __________ connects the brain to the spinal cord and controls essential functions such as
breathing, heart rate, and digestion.

By analyzing the picture and understanding the functions of each component, we can
appreciate the complexity and importance of the nervous system in coordinating and controlling
our bodily functions.

Remember to discuss your findings with your classmates or teacher to deepen your
understanding of the nervous system.

Great job analyzing the picture of the nervous system!

Component 2: Lesson Purpose/Intention

We want to familiarize ourselves with the different glands of the body, how they look like, and
where they are found to help us understand their functions and importance in maintaining
balance.

Component 4: Lesson Activity (Integration)

Intercultural Relations: Glands are regulated by other glands using hormones and proteins.
Imagine that the glands are different cultures like Spanish, Chinese, and American. The
interrelationship of these cultures impacted the Philippine culture heavily.

 American culture wherein they taught us language: English, which is widely

spoken and used as an official language in the Philippines.
 Spanish culture wherein they influenced us with the Catholic faith, which is the
most enduring legacy in the Philippines.
 Chinese culture wherein they influenced us with their culinary arts – sauteed
dishes, rice cakes, and noodle dishes (like pancit!)

Answer the question: How do you think these cultures provide important social and economic
benefits to Filipinos?
(Explain in an essay format consisting of 10 or more sentences)
