Reflection

This took a long time to put together. When I was seeking donations I had the
hardest time. People wouldnt get back to me or when I contacted them they
were not sure yet if they could. One of the places I asked I went every week
and left messages on there phone and never got an answer from them.
Others said I would have to get ahold of the main office. I did the silent
auction April 6-8. The first day was a little stressful. There wasnt a table
there for me to set up. The place I set up I didnt take into consideration of
space and felt like I was in the way. Had a lot of complements on my baskets.
One I can remember is you must have put a lot of time into these they look
good. I have notified the people and took them to the school to be picked up.
I raised $426 for the drama department. I had a lot of fun doing this and want
to put another one together for another cause. It is a lot of work when you
are the only one putting in the time.
RESOURCES
When I started this project, I went and talked to Mrs. Simmons at Robert Stuart to find out what it
would require. Mrs. Simmons does a one fundraiser during the year to fund the drama
department. Through e-mail we communicated and came up with a donation letter. I went around
to different business to seek donations. I also used Facebook to seek donations. When I went to
the movies they said I had to contact the head office. I did use my email for contact information. I
used Pinterest for ideas on what to put in the baskets. I held the auction at Canyon Ridge during
the show nights.
