WHAT ARE INSTRUCTIONAL
HARDWARE RESOURCES?
INSTRUCTIONAL HARDWARE RESOURCES ARE TOOLS USED IN EDUCATIONAL LESSONS,
LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND ASSESSMENTS. IT IS THEREFORE AN ASSET, TO HAVE MASTERED
THE SKILLS NEEDED IN ORDER TO EFFECTIVELY IMPACT OUR STUDENTS. THREE (3)
HARDWARE RESOURCES WHICH WILL BE EXAMINED ARE:
• THE PROJECTOR
• THE SMARTBOARD
• THE CAMERA
THE
PROJECTOR
• Easily installed for usage.
• Enables teacher to direct attention,
therefore, less distraction in the
classroom.
• Easy to create visuals as they have a
lasting impact.
• Easy time management tool.
• Inexpensive to use as it cuts down on
printing of handouts etc. Students can
receive information via email
THE
SMARTBOARD
• Easy to use for visual, kinesthetic
and auditory learners.
• Hands on learning tool.
• Direct student involvement.
• Allows teachers to create
meaningful and interactive
lessons.
• They are low maintenance and
environmentally friendly.
THE CAMERA

• Easily manipulated for various angles/shots.

(wide angle, burst shots, low angle, low light,
adjusted for brightness)
• It has video-graphic capabilities. (can record a
video)
• The megapixels determine the quality of the
picture.
• The new smartphone cameras can both take
video and pictures concurrently. The only
drawback of using such technology is the price.
CONCLUSION
WHEN INTEGRATING TECHNOLOGY SUCH AS THE MULTIMEDIA HARDWARE
EQUIPMENT INTO OUR LESSONS, IT MAKES LEARNING FUN. STUDENTS
BECOME MORE ENTHUSIASTIC WHEN THEY CAN SEE WHAT IS BEING DONE
AND CAN HAVE A HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WITH ACTIVITIES. THUS, THEY ARE
ABLE TO VISUALIZED INFORMATION AND GRASP THE CONCEPTS TAUGHT.
