What is Balance Tank ?

It is a primary source of Waste Water.

Working Principle:

The Waste water from different sources of the factory will be

collected to Balance Tank.
 Treatment Tank

What is Treatment Tank ?

It is a cylindrical M.S Tank which will be used as a Reaction &
Coagulation Tank.

Equipment's:
Gear motor & Agitator

Dosing Chemicals:
• Sodium Hydroxide/Caustic Tank: To make the required PH of the
effluent for proper chemical reaction.
• Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC) Tank: To remove color & settles the
suspended matters.
 Effluent Tank

What is Effluent Tank ?

The clear water from the Treatment tank will be collected in it.
Working Principle:
After proper settling, the over flow water from Treatment Tank shall be
transferred to the Effluent tank by gravitationally.
 Sludge Tank

What is Sludge Tank ?

It is a primary storage Tank of Sludge.

Working Principle:
After proper settling, Sludge from the bottom portion of the
Treatment tank shall be drained periodically into sludge Tank.
 Sludge Drying Bed

What is Sludge Drying Bed ?

It is used as sludge dehydrator.

Methodology:
It separates the water from the sludge.

Sludge Management after dry:

The dry sludge will be stored in a dry store room or disposed in
the selected dumping area.
