თვითონ Himself --- მან თვითონ Themselves --- მათ თვითონ (მამრობითი) Herself --- მან თვითონ (მდედრობითი) Itself --- მან თვითონ (საშუალო) Reflexive Pronouns --- უკუქცევითი ნაცვალსახელები Reflexive pronouns show that the object of an action is the subject itself. უკუქცევითი ნაცვალსახელები გვიჩვენებენ რომ მოქმედების ობიექტი თვითონ ქვემდებარეა. E.g. I asked myself --- მე ვკითხე ჩემს თავს. She likes to amuse herself --- მას უყვარს თავის გართობა. They emphasize the subject or the object of a sentence. E.g. Anna drew this picture herself. (subject) He was congratulated by the president himself. (object) We use reflexive pronouns: with verbs such as behave, burn, cut, enjoy, hurt, introduce, kill, look at, teach etc., or with prepositions when the subject (ქვემდებარე) and the object (დამატება) of the verb are the same person. E.g. He (subject) introduced himself (object) to the guests.
when reflexive pronouns are used with the preposition
by it means: alone/without any help/on one’s own. E.g. She lives by herself --- ის მარტო ცხოვრობს. In the following expressions: Enjoy yourself! (have a good time) გაერთე! Behave yourself! (be good) წესიერად მოიქეცი! Help yourself! (you are welcome to take sth if you want) მიირთვით! E.g. Help yourself to the cake, please. We don’t use reflexive pronouns with the verbs concentrate, feel, Reflexive pronouns are meet, relax used with the verbs E.g. If you don’t feel well, dress, wash, shave go home. when we want to show that someone did something with a great effort. E.g. Despite having a broken arm, he managed to shave himself.
