What are the Mighty Mitochondria?

What is ATP ?
ATP stands for adenosine triphosphate. The molecule in the top right hand corner of
this slide is adenosine triphosphate. If the prefix tri- means three, then where do you
suppose the three phosphates are in the molecule above?
ATP carries energy for your cells. Work with a partner to think of as many cellular
activities that require energy as you can:
